An inner-city showroom for Ford cars, with workshops since demolished to make way for the Crown Gardens residential development. Streamlined Modern, after Eric Mendelssohn, with double-spiral car ramp and five-storey open cantilever stair above car entry. The horizontal spandrels were fitted with fine steel framed windows: the vertical panels covering the columns are not original. The waffle slab and mushroom column construction is largely intact, as are parts of the original interior fitout.
